A paid parking system is being implemented at the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre to increase the amount of short-term visitor public parking in and around the area, and facilitate safe driver and pedestrian journeys.
+ Where can I park on-street at the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre?
Paid on-street parking will be available on New Park Place, Apple Mill Road and Buttermill Avenue.
+ What are the parking rates?
The parking rates for Vaughan Metropolitan Centre include;

+ How long am I permitted to park on street?
On-street parking is available for up to three (3) consecutive hours. Vehicles parked for longer than 3 hours will be subject to a parking violation administered by the City of Vaughan and/or will be towed at the owner’s expense.
+ If I don’t display a receipt on my vehicle dashboard, how will an enforcement officer know if I have paid for parking?
When you pay for parking, your license plate and duration of your parking session is entered into a live, cloud-based server used by the City of Vaughan to regulate and enforce parking.
+ Who is responsible for issuing parking tickets?
The City of Vaughan maintains the right to issue parking tickets. Parking will be enforced 24 hours a day, seven days a week, all year long.
+ What should I do if I receive a parking ticket?

+ I overpaid for parking by pressing the same button on the parking meter multiple times. What should I do?
If you overpaid for parking, you are required to validate that your vehicle was not parked in the parking lot for the amount of time that you agreed to pay for.
+ What should I do if I do not recognize a charge on my credit card?
If you do not recognize a charge on your credit card, please call your credit card company to verify the charge.
+ The parking meter did not return my change. What should I do?
When paying for parking at a parking meter, please ensure you input the exact change or pay using debit, credit card or mobile payment options.
+ I could not pay for parking because the parking meter was not functioning properly. Can I have my parking ticket voided?
If a parking meter is malfunctioning, you are required to pay for parking using the alternative Parkedin mobile payment option.
+ I did not pay for parking due to an emergency. Can my parking ticket be voided?
The Vaughan Metropolitan Centre has paid parking regulations. If your vehicle occupies a space, paying for parking is required.
+ How do I pay a parking ticket online?

PARKEDIN MOBILE PAYMENT
+ What is Parkedin?
Parkedin is a mobile payment method for on-street parking near the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre. Visitors easily pay for parking using Parkedin by:
- Downloading the Parkedin mobile app;
- Using the Scan-to-Pay option available at the parking facility
+ Do I have to download the Parkedin app to pay for parking?
Although a mobile app option is available, you are not required to download the Parkedin mobile app to pay for parking. If you are a frequent visitor to the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre, downloading the Parkedin app will be beneficial as you will not be required to enter your payment information each time you need to pay for parking. Your parking history and receipts will also be saved within the app.
If you prefer not to download the Parkedin app, you can use your mobile device to scan the QR code on the signage next to the parking meters. This will take you to a secure website where payment for parking can be processed. Receipts will be sent via email.
If you are paying for parking on behalf of someone and are not in a position to scan a QR code, visit www.parkedin.com and follow the prompts. You will need the correct Zone ID to successfully complete payment.
+ Do I have to create an account to use the Parkedin Scan-to-Pay option?
Creating an account is not required to use the Parkedin Scan-to-Pay option. The option to check out as a Guest is available. When you check out as a Guest on Parkedin, your receipt will be emailed to you.
+ Do I have to display a parking receipt on my vehicle dashboard when I use Parkedin to pay for parking?
You do not need to display a receipt on your vehicle dashboard when you pay for parking on Parkedin.
Once your transaction is processed, a receipt will be emailed to you. If you have an account with the Parkedin mobile app, you can also view previous receipts in the History section of the app.
+ How can parking enforcement verify that I have paid for parking using Parkedin?
When you use Parkedin to pay for parking, your transaction and active session length are communicated to a cloud-based software used by parking enforcement officers to confirm active and valid parking sessions.
+ Is my payment on Parkedin secure?
Yes, payments using the Parkedin mobile app and web-based platform undergo secure and certified payment processing complying with level-1 (highest level) Payment Card Industry (PCI) standards.
+ Do I have to pay to use Parkedin? You do not need to pay to use the Parkedin service. The mobile app and web-based platform are free services.
If you choose to create an account with Parkedin, you will be instructed to create an account on www.parkedin.com or via the Parkedin mobile app, available for download on Google Play and the App Store.
You will be required to pay a convenience fee of $0.35 when completing a transaction. Convenience fees will be displayed to you before you confirm payment.
+ When I register an account with Parkedin, my phone number and/or email address are rejected. What can I do?
Please verify you are entering your information in the correct format. If you receive an "email already exists" notification, this implies that an account has already been created with this email.
If you do not remember the login credentials for this account, you can reset your password with the “Forgot Password” option.

+ How can I verify that my parking transaction/session is valid?
Upon successful payment, the Parkedin app will send a confirmation email to the email address provided. The email includes all transaction details, such as an authorization number and the time the session is valid. If you have an account with Parkedin, your transactions will be displayed in the “Transaction History” section.
+ Will I automatically get a reminder when my paid parking session is about to expire?
Yes, a reminder will be sent to the email address provided at least 10 minutes before the parking session is about to expire. Additionally, the original email receipt of payment will have a link to extend your parking session at any time during your stay.
Notifications and the ability to extend your parking session are also available within the Parkedin app.
+ Can I obtain a summary of parking payments made?
If you have created an account with Parkedin, you can view your parking history and transactions within the “Transaction History” section.
If you made payment as a Guest, then the receipt sent to the email address provided will be the only payment record. If you would like to obtain the receipt again, you can contact customer support at 1-888-783-7275 . Please provide the details of your transaction and ask for the receipt to be re-sent to the registered email address.
+ Can I be overcharged for parking?
Before you enter your credit card information to complete payment, you are required to confirm your transaction and the amount associated with it. The credit card you enter will be charged only for the amount authorized.
+ How do I Scan-to-Pay for parking?
To use the Scan-to-Pay option for on-street parking at Vaughan Metropolitan Centre, follow the steps below:
- Scan the QR code on signage next to the on-street parking meters, or visit www.parkedin.com
- Enter the parking lot Zone ID displayed on the signage next to the parking meter
- Follow the payment prompts
- A receipt will be emailed to you

Pay-by-License Plate parking meters will be on-street nearby the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre for visitors who prefer to pay for parking with coin, credit card or debit.
These Pay-by-License Plate parking meters require drivers to enter their licence plate number before processing payment. The parking meter will print a receipt.
+ Do I have to display a parking receipt on my vehicle dashboard when I pay for parking at the parking meter?
You do not need to display a receipt on your vehicle dashboard when you pay for parking at the parking meter. Once you pay for parking the license plate you entered is registered into a cloud-based system used by the City of Vaughan to regulate valid parking sessions.
